09/19/2023The Difference Between Marine Fenders And Dock Fenders
What are marine fenders?
Marine fenders are marine ball or polyurethane fenders hung on the side of the ship and placed on the deck when the ship is sailing. When the boat is at a dock or in contact with another vessel, place both ends of the rope or anchor chain in the contact position.
Marine fenders are essential products for many large ships to set sail.
When the ship is docked at the dock and the dock does not have suitable rubber fenders to avoid collision, the ship fender will show its effect. Inflating the ship’s ball to the specified pressure and placing it on ships, docks, and other berthing places can better protect the ship.
During ship transfer operations, the two ships need to maintain a safe distance, so ship fenders need to be placed between the two ships to prevent wave surges from bringing the ships too close.
What are dock fenders?
Dock fenders are rubber fenders hung on the pier, including solid rubber fenders, marine balls and polyurethane fenders, which are placed on the water when a ship is docked.
